Why do we put such a low value on time?

The most important resource we have at our disposal is time.

We can exchange it for happiness, sadness, fulfillment, despair, emptiness, sorrow, and excitement.

The problem, however, is that money can also be exchanged from time; money might seem like it could replicate those emotions as well.

Unfortunately, money can’t be exchanged back for time, and that’s something a lot of people don’t realize.

We’re all born with an invisible ticking clock above our heads which starts counting down each second. The takeaway is that, since it’s invisible, we’ll never know when it stops; we all know it eventually will stop, but we’ll never know when it will.

With that said, do you believe it’s worth giving away your dreams for someone else considering you’re running on the most valuable resource doing so?

Are you willing to live an ordinary life, considering you might only have one shot at it, willing to make someone else’s extraordinary?

Are you not going to take full advantage of the time you have left? Are you going to let fear freely steal that away from you?

We’re usually willing to accept a “bribe” from an employer, or various ones at that, in order to cheaply exchange away our time for money. Is that all life is about?

I know, there might certainly be some more sensible cases where people are already involved in serious matters, and it doesn’t really seem like it’s a choice, it doesn’t seem like they can break free from the shackles and go live their life fully, but the key word here is “seems”.

There is always a choice.

You probably already know that, but you are also probably too afraid of actually taking any chances over the “safe route”.

If you don’t know that you actually have a choice you’ll have to do some introspective and analysis of the whole situation you are in at the moment, how you’ve arrived there, and most importantly, how you believe your life will play out continuing to do what you do.

Trust me, it will really scare you out, especially if you have or you have had any dreams, but it’s necessary to understand where you are in life in order to be…
